The Perry School Board will meet in a special session on Monday.

The board will first hold a public hearing on the property tax statement. The district’s property tax levy is currently at $18.58 and the proposed rate for fiscal year 2027 is five cents lower at $18.53.

Items on the agenda seeking approval include an amendment for the 2025-26 certified budget, following a public hearing, adoption of resolution directing sale of Series 2026 SAVE bonds to the low bidder and the contract for Tom Ryherd to serve as Perry Community School District Superintendent effective July 1.

Dallon Christensen, Executive Director of Finance and Business Services, will give a presentation about the 2026-27 certified budget.

The board will also enter into a closed session for the annual superintendent evaluation.

The meeting is set to take place at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at the Perry High School Brady Library, 1200 18th Street.
