Easter events will kick off tomorrow in Adel.

The Garlick Team will host its 2nd Annual Bunny Pics & Coffee Sips from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday at The Morning Grind, 720 Prairie Street, in Adel. The event includes pictures with the Easter Bunny, kids crafts, a take-home activity, treats and free coffee.

The Adel Kiwanis Club Easter Egg Hunt will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. on Sunday at Kinnick Feller Park in Adel. Children up to 10 years old will be split up into different groups. Kids from zero to three years of age will start at 3 p.m., followed by four to six years olds at 3:30 p.m. and then ages seven to 10 at 4 p.m. The event will also include pictures with the Easter Bunny, prizes, fire trucks and face painting. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable donations for the Good Samaritan Food Pantry.

Easter egg hunts will continue next weekend.

The Perry Parks and Recreation Department is inviting children from birth through eight years old to search for eggs at the Pattee Park Sports Complex (west of the softball/baseball fields) on Saturday, April 4. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photos at 10 a.m., with the hunt to follow at 10:30 a.m.

Dallas Center’s Easter Celebration and Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 4. The event includes a Rotary pancake breakfast, guessing contest at the library, a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny along with the egg hunt. Proceeds from the pancake breakfast will go to support Rotary scholarships and Dallas Center community projects.

Here’s a look at other Easter events around Dallas County:

  • The Woodward Lions Club’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 at the Woodward Public Library. The family-friendly event is free and those three and under will go first.
  • The Minburn Public Library will present the Community Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 at Rodger’s Park. Children and families are invited to come meet the Easter Bunny and find some eggs.
  • New Day Assembly of God will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 on the church lawn, 2313 1st Avenue, in Perry. The hunt is open to the public. Children in preschool through fifth grade are invited to hunt for 5,000 eggs. Raffle prizes will also be available and golden eggs will be hidden for special prizes.
  • The Redfield Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 at Redfield City Park. The event is for children ages 0-12.
  • Waukee’s Easter Egg Hunt will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 at Centennial Park. Once the starting horn sounds, kids can race for thousands of eggs and pieces and candy, along with special golden prize eggs. The hunt will be divided into three age groups, with ages 4 and under at the greenspace west of Field #3, ages 5-7 at Fields #2 and #3 and ages 8-10 at Field #1.
  • Van Meter Parks and Recreation will host an Easter Egg Hunt from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 4 at Johnson Park. The event will include Easter egg hunts for different age groups, prizes and candy-filled eggs and family-friendly fun.
  • De Soto Public Safety and 100 Acre Woods will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 at Little Bridge City Park. The event will include egg hunts by age group, golden prize eggs, pictures with the Easter Bunny, crafts, treats, games and prizes, including bicycles. The event is free to the community and local families are invited to come enjoy the day together.
  • The Stone Bridge Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 at the Granger Parks and Rec Field. The event will include 15,000 eggs to hunt, prizes, Granger Fire and EMS trucks on site and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny.
