On Monday, the Perry Buejays and Jayettes track teams traveled to Bondurant-Farrar High School for the first outdoor track meet of the 2026 season. Both Perry track teams placed fifth, with the Bluejays securing 41 team points and the Jayettes scored 46 team points.

For the girls, Treasure Moore placed 1st in the 100 meter dash crossing the finish line in 12.71 seconds. Lily Myers also found success, placing 2nd in the girls 400 meter dash and the 3000 meter run. In the relays, the Jayettes continued to find success, with the girls 4×800 meter relay placing second. For the Bluejays, Michael Bahtagic and Rylan Modlin placed second and third respectively in the boys 100 meter, with Bahtagic crossing the finish line in 11.42 with Modlin behind him at 11.44. In the relays, the Bluejays squad placed 2nd in the 800 meter sprint medley and the 4×200 meter relay.

The Jayettes return to action on Thursday at home hosting the Jayettes relays, set to begin at 4:30pm.
