The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Track and Field Team participated in the Waukee Northwest Invitational on Monday, as senior Elise Coghlan had a monster performance in several events.

ADM competed against seven other schools, consisting of Waukee Northwest, Dallas Center-Grimes, Pella, Johnston, Indianola, Dowling Catholic, and Valley West Des Moines. For the Tigers, Coghlan broke the school record running 1:03.05 in the 400 Meter Hurdles, then grabbed second place in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.12 seconds, and was apart of the 4×100 Meter Relay Team that marked third at 49.66 seconds.

Other notable performances for ADM included junior Isabelle Book ran 12.69 seconds to win the open 100 Meter Dash, while senior Haley Nelson finished fourth in the 100 Meter Hurdles at 15.74 seconds. Nelson also captured fifth place in the 200 Meter Dash going 27.35 seconds.

In the field events, ADM senior Lauren Hagedorn threw 124 feet in the discus for third place, and tallied seventh place in the shot put at 36 feet and 8.25 inches.

The Tigers will now have the rest week off before hosting the ADM Hugh Norman Coed Relays next Tuesday, April 7th in Adel. The full results from the Waukee Northwest Invitational can be found by clicking here.
