The board first held a public hearing on the property tax statement. The district’s property tax levy is currently at $18.58 and the proposed rate for fiscal year 2027 is five cents lower at $18.53.

The board then approved an amendment to the 2025-26 certified budget, following a public hearing. Board members also approved the 2026-27 certified budget for publication, after a presentation by Executive Director of Finance and Business Solutions Dallon Christensen.

Other items that were approved included a resolution directing the sale of Series 2026 SAVE bonds to the low bidder and the contract for Tom Ryherd to serve as the Perry Community School District Superintendent effective July 1.

The board also entered into a closed session for the annual superintendent evaluation.
