Spring is here, which means construction projects are getting underway in Adel.

The city says work began on Rapids Street on Monday and the road will be closed from 9th to 12th Streets. City Administrator Tim Vick is looking forward to seeing the project get underway.

“Rapids Street construction is starting this spring. We’re excited to see that street project come together. We really are looking at the projects coming up in the spring and it looks like we’re going to have a busy year.”

Work will continue on Rapids Street throughout the summer and fall until the project is completed.
