The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board approved an Iowa Department of Transportation funding agreement for a bridge repair project to take place in the 2027 construction season, then heard from Guthrie County Engineer Josh Sebern on a proposal to extend the current Secondary Roads Department grounds mowing contract by a year instead of looking to start a new one, which the Supervisors agreed sounded like a good idea, and the topic will be considered for approval in a future meeting. The Board also heard from Sebern about the finalization of a bridge replacement project near Diamondhead Lake, before holding a short fiscal year 2027 budget work session and approving the notice of the public hearing for the fiscal year 2027 budget set for April 21st at 9am.
