A fun event will be taking place on Saturday for youth to experience what 4-H is all about.

The County Council will present Experience 4-H Day from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday in the Community Building on the Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel. 

The event will include games, hands-on activities, snacks and make and takes. A bake sale will also be held to benefit a local 4-H family.

Rebecca Smith, a volunteer with Dallas County 4-H and County Council Advisor, says this will be the fifth year for the Experience 4-H Day.

“Our County Council kids wanted to highlight some of the project areas in 4-H. It was an area where 4-H’ers could come and learn more about the different project areas and things that go on in 4-H and different opportunities they can have.” 

Smith adds that Saturday’s event is open to the public and current 4-H’ers. She invites area youth to come and learn about all things 4-H.
