An organization in Dallas County is offering monetary support to small businesses in the area for the second year in a row.
Marketing & Business Development Coordinator Nora Noonan says the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance has officially opened applications for the next round of its Small Business Grant Fund, which supports local entrepreneurs across Dallas County.
Applications are open April 1 through May 31 with a total of $20,000 in funding available. The Alliance seeks to fund applicants looking for financial support in key growth areas such as furniture and fixtures, technology, marketing, and professional development.
“Investing in special projects for small businesses is one of the most impactful ways we can strengthen the local economy in Dallas County. These targeted investments help our small businesses innovate, expand, and adapt. This support fuels local pride, strengthens our business ecosystem, and creates lasting economic impact across our communities,” says Rachel Wacker, Executive Director for the Alliance.
The grant program launched last year and five small businesses were awarded funding in 2025, representing a range of industries including retail, food and beverage, creative services, and education.
Noonan details that the Small Business Grant Fund was created as part of a strategic shift from the Alliance’s former Revolving Loan Fund, providing a more flexible and accessible funding option for small businesses.
