A school in the Perry community is gearing up for a yearly fundraising event that returns next weekend.

St. Patrick School, 1302 5th Street, will host the 5th Annual Gala and Auction on Saturday, April 11 in the gymnasium. Principal Kandice Pattillo says doors will open at 5 p.m. for a cocktail hour, followed by a meal catered by Tin Pig Tavern, along with silent and live auctions. The evening will wrap up with live entertainment by The Jonathan May Show.

Pattillo details that the online bidding is open through GiveButter, which will close at 8 p.m. on April 11. Some of those items include a one-of-a-kind St. Pat’s School Quilt (featuring fingerprints and signatures from students and staff) along with local experiences. A few raffle tickets are also still available. Raffle tickets are $50 and include cash prizes up to $2,000.

Pattillo adds that proceeds will go directly to support the school. Previous projects have included purchasing new classroom desks and chairs, painting the school’s hallways, renovating the science room, adding tablets and more.

“It’s always kind of our biggest fundraiser for both the church and the school and we try to make it as much of a community event as well. You definitely don’t have to just be a member of St. Pat’s to come in, all you need is that admission ticket.”

Pattillo mentions that tickets cost $40 and include entrance to the event, a meal and access to entertainment.

Tickets may be purchased at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Office, the school office or online by clicking here. Any additional questions can be directed to St. Patrick School at (515)-465-4186.
