
The Stuart City Council will meet in regular session Monday night.
The Council will consider for approval revised cemetery committee bylaws, a citywide transition to a stuartia.gov email domain, and a resolution designating both sides of Southeast 13th Street as no parking zones. They also will consider for approval resolutions regarding adding additional stop intersections, a loan agreement providing for the issuance of a general obligation vehicle acquisition bond, series 2026B and provide for the levy of taxes to pay the same, as well as the All Saints Cultural Center lease.
The Council will then consider for approval officer elections and volunteer pool passes for the Stuart Fire Department, an application for the Hometown Pride Community Program, and emergency medical services advisory committee bylaws. Other items for consideration include a resolution supporting the Exploration Learning Center community project funding request and conditionally authorizing the City of Stuart to serve as lead applicant and fiscal agent, as well as hear on the Grade Three certification of Public Works Director Josh Welker.
The Council will also consider for approval rock and sand prices, the renewal of agreement for building official services with revised building inspection department fee schedule, and the 2026-27 city budget. Next up will be consideration for approval of their annual contribution for local congregate meals, neighborhood speed limit signage, and residential tax abatement rehabilitation and remodel programs.
Other items for consideration include American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Day, a Wambold 3rd Addition mowing reimbursement request for $7,075, appointments to the planning and zoning commission and board of adjustment, and an ordinance amending the code of ordinances regarding speed regulations.
