
On Thursday, the Perry Bluejays track team played host to five other teams at Dewey Field for the PHS Davis Relays. The Bluejays wrapped up the day with 85 team points to claim 5th place.
The Bluejay relay teams found success, with three first place finishes while also achieving two season best times. The relay teams that placed first are the: 800 sprint medley, 4×100 relay team, and the 4×200 meter relay teams. The 4×100 team finished in 1st in 43.98 for a season best time, while the 4×400 relay team finished in second in 3:48.59 for a season best time.
Michael Bahtagic continues to find success in the 100, finishing in second place while freshman Thad Stewart had a personal best time in the boys 400 meter hurdles finishing in 1:04 to claim third place.
The Bluejays return to action on Monday, traveling to Greene County Middle School for the Ram Relays. The action is set to begin at 4:30pm.
