An investigation is currently underway of a homicide in Grand Junction.

Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio they responded to a call in the 500 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction around 2:30pm Sunday. He says the victim was found inside the home with injuries and later died from those injuries after being taken to Greene County Medical Center and later transported to a Des Moines hospital by air ambulance.

No further information is known at this time, as the incident remains under investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. He says it is standard protocol to include the DCI anytime there is a homicide in the county.
