Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Track and Field Head Coach Jesse Hunt discusses how athletes’ work ethic is contributing to continual success at ADM High School.

Hunt says that the process begins with the student-athletes as well as the ADM community to allow the school district to invest in sporting activities. He explains that across all sports, each coach does a great job of treating every athlete equally, whether they’re the star of the team or help the program in other ways. Hunt details that good environments will encourage athletes to motivate each other to improve.

“It’s a special thing where you start creating that competition, not just outside perspective, but internally where guys are pushing each other, and they want to be good together, and I think that’s a critical piece.”

He adds that ADM has built a good culture as student-athletes support one another, and that it’s a collaborative effort from parents, students, and staff members. The Tigers Boys Track and Field Team will send a select number of athletes to the 116th Drake Relays in Des Moines this Thursday through Saturday.
