Those looking to grow herbs in their home garden can attend a program this week in Perry.
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Dallas County will host the horticulture event from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Perry Learning Center, 1122 Willis Avenue.
Instructor Sarah Wood will share benefits and best practices for growing annual and perennial herbs, from basil, oregano, dill and more. Attendees will learn how to grow herbs at home whether in the ground or in containers with just a few simple steps.
While the class is free thanks to support from the Dallas County Extension Council, registration is required. For more information, click here.
