A Republican candidate for governor will be making a campaign stop in Jefferson later this week.

Adam Steen will be at the Welcome Center at Thomas Jefferson Gardens in Jefferson on Friday from 12:30-2pm. According to organizers with Community Republicans, Steen will be available for a meet and greet with a roundtable format to hear from attendees and talk about his platforms as a candidate for governor.

Steen last made a public appearance in Jefferson on October 1, 2025 at Bett and Bev’s BBQ. Steen worked for 18 years in the private sector before being appointed by Governor Kim Reynolds as the Director of the Department of Administrative Services.

Steen is running against four other individuals for the Republican nomination for governor in the upcoming June 2nd Primary Election. The other candidates include Randy Feenstra, Zach Lahn, Eddie Andrews and Brad Sherman.
