The West Central Valley Boys Soccer Team stormed to their seventh consecutive victory on Tuesday in Des Moines to begin the 2026 season, winning 10-0 against Grand View Christian, as three Wildcats garnered hat tricks.

West Central Valley didn’t waste any time, putting up eight goals in the first half, including six in the first 20 minutes of play. The two other goals for the Wildcats were scored 12 minutes into the second half to end the game 10-0 by the mercy rule. West Central Valley junior Garret Wolfe, as well as seniors Aiden Brandon and Trajan Rummel recorded hat tricks by scoring three goals each. Senior Gabe Gerling notched the 10th goal for the Wildcats to complete the shutout. Also, Wildcat sophomore goalie Mason Fortney had five saves in the contest.

The victory brings West Central Valley’s win total to 7-0, as they prepare to make another road trip to Treynor tomorrow to battle the Cardinals at 7pm.
