
One person was taken by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon in southern Greene County.
According to Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams, he and some deputies, along with Grand Junction Fire and Rescue, Greene County Ambulance and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at 2:47pm at 305th Street and W Avenue. Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio one person was found in a ditch that had been ejected from a vehicle, which was also on fire. However, Williams says the person didn’t have burn injuries as crews were attending to the individual.
He notes that the person that was ejected was taken by air ambulance from the scene to a Des Moines hospital with life-threatening injuries. No other information is known at this time as the incident remains under investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
