
Greene County has its girls’ soccer team, boys’ soccer team, and boys and girls track & field squads in action today and tonight. The soccer girls are the only squad playing at home at Linduska Field in Jefferson. Coach Wes Anderson’s Rams host non-conference opponent Colfax-Mingo with varsity at 6 p.m. and no JV match. The Rams are 0-9 while the Tigerhawks have a record of eight wins and no losses.
Coach Chad Black’s varsity boys’ soccer team is 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. The Rams are on the road in Monroe vs. Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play vs. PCM. The Mustangs are 2-2 in the league and 3-4-2 overall. Both Greene County losses have been on the road and by one goal.
The Rams will have the girls and boys in Alleman at North Polk High School for a coed track & field meet.
