The West Central Valley Girls Soccer Team played their 11th game on Monday in Harlan, as the Wildcats beat the Cyclones 5-1 behind junior Addilynn Richter, who earned a hat trick with three goals.
Richter didn’t waste much time, scoring the first goal of the game two minutes in to make it 1-0 West Central Valley. Approximately 27 minutes later, Richter would capture her second of the contest as the Wildcats took a 2-0 advantage into the break. Four minutes into the second half, Richter would capture her third goal to complete the hat trick.
Harlan Community would avoid the shutout by getting their lone goal within that same time frame as Richter, as West Central Valley was up 3-1. Seniors Macy Long and Braylie Harding garnered the two other goals for the Wildcats, which would propel them to a 5-1 win.
The victory carries West Central Valley to 8-2-1 on the season, while Harlan Community falls to 4-5 overall. The Cyclones will travel to Atlantic tonight to play the Trojans, and the Wildcats will be back in action on Friday in Stuart, hosting Tri-Center.
