
Lighting struck twice in Perry as the Bluejays soccer team defeated the Grand View Christian Thunder at home 10-0. Perry had a scoring fest, as Jacobo Cerna-Gomez notched in four goals in the victory.
The Bluejays stepped out on to the pitch ready to play and took the lead early, scoring seven goals in the first half and three in the final 40 minutes. Six Bluejays scored against the Thunder, with Cerna-Gomez scoring four, Jose Ortega notched in two, with Maynor Ordonez, Roberto Gomez, George Krohn, and Alex Zamora also scored for Perry in the 10-0 victory.
Now at 6-4-1, the Bluejays return to action on Thursday, traveling to Gilbert High School to face off against the Tigers. The action is set to begin at 7pm.
