It was a hard fought battle in Urbandale for the for the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys soccer team as Urbandale was able to come back to defeat the Mustangs 4-2. DCG continues to have a phenomenal season, now sitting at 10-2-1 so far this season.

The Mustangs struck first after a back and forth battle throughout the first half. In the 33rd minute, freshman Destiny Tarplah centered the ball to find junior defender Landon Anderson who headed the ball in for the first goal of the contest. Up 1-0, DCG continued to press on finding the net one more time in the first half, as Hudson Heidgerken won the two on one battle against the Urbandale defenders, finding the bottom left corner of the net to secure the 2-0 lead. Coming back from the break, Urbandale would not be denied, as J-Hawks battled back against DCG scoring an impressive four goals in the second half to secure the 4-2 comeback victory over DCG.

Now at 10-2-1, the Mustangs look at another intense battle on Thursday to wrap up the week, playing host to the Waukee Northwest Wolves. The action is set to begin at 7:30pm.
