Coach Heath Telleen’s Greene County High School girls’ golf team finished fifth among five teams on Friday at the Jewell Golf & Country Club under some of the best weather this season. Roland-Story (Story City) won the team title with 326 strokes for 18 holes. West Marshall (State Center) was second at 372, followed by Eagle Grove at 389, and 410 from the hosts from South Hamilton.

The Rams shot 438 and were led by seniors Alivia Cornell and Maya Telleen, both with rounds of 98. Senior Lila Osterson shot 109 and freshman Makenzie Wahl had 133. Greene County was missing part of the normal lineup.

Senior Brinley Carlson of R-S, who has relatives in Jefferson, was medalist with a round of 70, two under par.
