The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams will be hitting the road to western Iowa towards Glenwood to participate in the Iowa High School Class 3A State Qualifying Meet tonight.

The Tigers have had a successful season, as both the girls and boys are getting great contributions from their athletes. The ADM Girls have been consistently led this year by seniors Elise Coghlan, Haley Nelson, and Lauren Hagedorn. Meanwhile, the boys have seen sophomore Zane Johnson, as well as junior Reid Kluesner compete at a high level throughout the season. Hagedorn opens up about the area of focus the Tigers will be locking in ahead of the competition.

“Just continuing to work on the technique, and then making sure that we’re competing at our highest possible place during state qualifying and at state.”

ADM will be going against Glenwood, Atlantic, Carroll, Creston, Denison-Schleswig, Des Moines Christian, and Harlan Community. The top two place winners in each event will earn automatic qualifying bids to the state meet, followed by the eight best individuals in each event across all of Class 3A.

Tonight’s meet is taking place at the GCSD Activities Complex in Glenwood, starting at 4pm.
