The Guthrie County Chaplains held their annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Ceremony yesterday.

The chaplains gave some short speeches, then representatives from the offices of US Senator Chuck Grassley, US Congressman for Iowa’s 3rd District Zach Nunn and US Congresswoman for Iowa’s 2nd District Ashley Hinson read letters of appreciation sent from their respective legislators. The chaplains also read letters of appreciation from Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Attorney General Brenna Bird. Iowa Senator for District 12 and Senate President Amy Sinclair was also present as a guest speaker, also thanking present law enforcement for their service, and speaking on bills passed in the last few years that were introduced to make their jobs easier.

 

Members of the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, Stuart Police Department, Panora Police Department and Iowa State Patrol were all present for the ceremony.
