Fiber will be celebrated during an annual event in Perry.

Organizer Ashley Anderson says the Fiber Festival of Perry will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Hotel Pattee, Soumas Court and Atelier at 1109. She adds that this year’s theme, the Wool Done It? Series, is based on The Sheep Detectives movie and Leonie Swann’s book “Three Bags Full.”

Anderson details that children can solve a mystery by hunting for letters in the downtown area. If they can spell out who took Mopple the sheep, they can take $2 off their movie ticket to The Sheep Detectives at The Perry Grand Theater and will be entered to win a gift basket.

She adds that the Fiber Festival is also partnering with other downtown businesses. Century Farm Books & Brews will have copies of the “Three Bags Full” book available for purchase and the Courtyard Cafe will be offering a Baa Baa Blackberry Iced Latte.

Anderson shares that over 20 vendors will be selling yarn and handmade products inside the Hotel Pattee. Sheep and wool producers will also be set up outside in Soumas Court.

The Perry Piecemakers Quilt Guild will have quilts on display in the lower level of the hotel and a traveling quilt caravan will be located in the downtown area. Free T-shirt printing will also be available at Atelier at 1109. Anderson explains that attendees can bring in their own blank T-shirt and can pick from four sheep designs to be printed for free.

Anderson talks about what she enjoys most about the annual festival.

“I’m a fiber person, so I absolutely love spinning, weaving, knitting and crochet. So this is definitely worth it because you have a wonderful group of people coming together to create. Fiber art is such a historical craft that it is so worth it to learn and try to teach yourself something new.”

The festival is free to attend. For more information, check out Atelier at 1109’s Facebook page
