The Greene County High School sports calendar for today has Coach Heath Telleen’s girls’ golf team in a Class 2A 1B Regional Tournament at the Ida Grove Golf Club hosted by OABCIG. The top two teams and top six individuals advance. OABCIG and the Rams are joined by Kuemper Catholic (Carroll), MVAO-COU (Maple Valley), South Central Calhoun (Lake City), Ridge View (Holstein), East Sac County (Lake View), and Washington High of Cherokee. Qualifiers from 1B will join qualifiers from the 1A tournament in Orange City for the Regional final on May 20 at the Carroll Municipal Golf Course.

Coach Telleen told Raccoon Valley Radio the Rams have the third lowest score entering today’s competition at Ida Grove, and he feels one or more Greene County golfer could contend individually.

The Rams have a girl/boy soccer doubleheader in Wall Lake today vs. East Sac County. The Greene County girls are 0-13 and the boys are 7-5. The Raiders are 3-7-1 in girls’ soccer and 2-6 on the boys’ side.
