It was a successful showing for the Perry Jayettes track team on Thursday night as the Jayettes traveled to North Polk High School for the Class 3A state qualifying meet. Needing to place first or second to secure a state qualifications, Treasure Moore and Lily Myers combined for five state qualifications.

Treasure Moore secured her two individual events first, placing first 100 and 200 meter dash. Myers followed Moore, placing first 400 meter dash and 400 meter hurdles. Moore and Myers then teamed up with Cate Erickson and Selene Ayala to bring home the gold and qualify for state in the girls 800 sprint medley.

Four Jayettes guaranteed their place at state in five events as Myers, Moore, Erickson, and Ayala await to see what other Jayettes will join them once the at large state qualifiers are announced.
