Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has some animal workshops that they are holding.

Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that the practices have already started. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they started dog workshops last week, and that they will continue to be ongoing.

“So if you’re planning on showing dogs this year, there is a requirement you have to attend at least two practices. So be sure to head over to the fairgrounds on Mondays, every Monday until fair. That is, of course, except for Memorial Day.”

Savage mentions that another workshop they have that is ongoing is horse practices, which began May 6th. She adds that they are being held every Wednesday at the Adair County Fairgrounds until the Adair County Fair.
