Greene County and Paton-Churdan High Schools will be well represented at the State Co-Ed Track and Field Meet later this week.

Greene County boys team has a total of six events and the girls have five events. For the boys team, the Rams have Zack Stalder for the 100-meter dash, Drew Wolterman in the 800-meter run, Rafe Michaelsen for discus, along with the sprint medley and the 4×100 and 4×400 meter relay teams. The girls team includes Becca Anderson in the 200-meter run, Kaycee Pittman with the 800-meter run, along with the sprint medley, the distance medley and the 4×400 meter relay team. The Rams are going to compete in Class 2A.

Paton-Churdan has five events, led by Trevon Keely in the high jump, long jump, 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, and Blaise Schilling in the long jump for Class 1A.

The State Co-Ed Track and Field Meet will take place at Drake Stadium from this Thursday through Saturday. Raccoon Valley Radio will have periodic reports from the meet everyday of all of the area teams that have students competing.
