After the Perry Bluejays baseball team’s originally season opener against Greene County was cancelled on Tuesday, the Bluejays played host to the West Marshall Trojans to open up the 2025-26 season. The Bluejays battled until the very end, falling to the Trojans 4-0.

Ian Fisher got the starting nod for the Bluejays, pitching for three and 1/3 innings ending the night with two strike outs. Freshman Luke Adair finished the game on the mound for the Bluejays, ending the night with five strikeouts against the Trojans. Perry struggled offensively, ending the night with four hits unable to notch a run on the scoreboard.

Falling to 0-1, the Bluejays return to action on Thursday, traveling to Ogden High School to face off against the Bulldogs. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
