Guthrie County Recorder Jacki Sloss submitted her letter of resignation to the Board of Supervisors Tuesday.
Her last day will be July 1, 2016. Sloss tells Raccoon Valley Radio she’s at a good age to retire and looks forward to enjoying life outside work and spending more time with her family.
Although the Board of Supervisors will appoint somebody to serve the remainder of Sloss’ term, set to end in January 2019, Sloss says Deputy Recorder Tristen Richard would be excellent in the role and is the only local person to have already taken all of the classes and received certifications to effectively perform the duties of County Recorder.
Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
