The West Central Valley softball team’s season has ended earlier than they had hoped. The Wildcats won just two games during the regular season and were eliminated in the opening round of the postseason. It was a rebuilding year under a brand new head coach, but the Wildcats do have a bright spot to look forward to over the next two years. Sophomore Taylor Beane improved highly on an already impressive freshman campaign, by batting with a mark of .515, and having an on base plus slugging percentage of almost 1.300. Her 12 extra base hits also led the team.
