20160726_100048_185The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday.

They heard a proposal from County Engineer Josh Sebern about completing a bridge project near Rose Acres. “The bridge that sits right by their main entrance is no longer needed. The plan is to replace that with a 48 inch culvert and the main drainage has been rerouted to the west, along Rose Acres’ west boundary. That currently has a 36 or a 30 inch culvert, which is way undersized and contributes to the main problem of water backing up over the highway and backfilling into Rose Acres’. We’re going to put a double 8’x6’ box culvert down into there and get the water to pass under the highway faster, into the main drainage channel and down into the river.”

The Board unanimously approved Sebern’s plan as proposed.
