Filling out forms for college funding can be daunting and confusing but Des Moines Area Community College’s Perry VanKirk Career Academy is offering some help this week.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid specialists will be on hand today from 10am until 2pm and Wednesday from 2-5pm at the local DMACC center to help walk students and prospective students through the process of applying for grants and scholarships.

Appointments are not necessary as people will be served on a first come, first served walk-in basis.

Those wanting to take advantage of the opportunity should bring social security numbers, 2015 W-2 tax forms and federal income tax returns for themselves and their parents along with their driver’s license.
