The percentage of residents without a job in Dallas, Greene and Guthrie Counties increased last month.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Dallas and Greene counties both saw an unemployment rate increase of 0.6 percent in July with Dallas’s latest rate at 3.2 percent and Greene’s at four percent. Guthrie County saw less of a change but 0.4 percent more people were without a job in July, compared to June figures.

Dallas County’s rate is currently 0.2 percent higher than this time last year.  Greene County’s is 0.1 percent higher and Guthrie’s is 0.3 percent higher.

The statewide unemployment rate for July is four percent.
