Troy McGeeA Fort Dodge man faces several charges following a high speed chase that ended in Jefferson.

Police Chief Mark Clouse says 47 year-old Troy Angelo McGee of Fort Dodge is charged with with a Class B Felony for possession of meth of over five grams with intent to deliver, a Class D Felony for eluding while participating in a felony, an aggravated misdemeanor for third or subsequent possession of marijuana and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also cited for excessive speed of 99 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.

The charges stem from an incident on Saturday, August 13th. Clouse says at 3:22am, a Greene County Deputy was following McGee’s vehicle heading south on N Avenue toward Jefferson. A police officer followed the vehicle into the north parking lot at Wild Rose. The officer and deputy lost sight of McGee after he fled on foot from his vehicle. About three hours later, officers were advised from casino personnel that the suspect was inside the casino. He was subsequently arrested there.

He was booked and remains in the Greene County jail under a $25,000 bond.
