A wide variety of things are happening at the Perry High School track today as part of the Northern Dallas County Relay for Life event.
Registration begins at 10am and continues until noon. The opening ceremony starts at 12:15pm with the National Anthem, a prayer, a speech from Dr. Richard Demming and the survivor, caregiver and team laps.
Then at 12:45pm is the Pulse Dance Team, followed by the oven mitt game and Cheetos toss.
At 2pm there will be bingo, undercover and sock it to cancer laps, followed by the yard games, flag football, frozen t-shirt and hula hoop contests.
This evening the Maurice Jules Experience will perform a variety of live music, there will be musical chairs, a scavenger hunt, Zumba, a Luminaria ceremony and a fight back activity to conclude the relay.
The event is open to the public and all money raised goes to support the American Cancer Society.
