Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day and the Perry Police Department encourages everyone to take advantage of the opportunity.
Unused, unneeded and expired medications can be dropped off at the Perry Hy-Vee between 10am and 2pm. Both prescriptions and over the counter medicines will be accepted, no questions asked but Police Chief Eric Vaughn says please do not bring inhalers or needles.
The national effort aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
If you have questions, call the Perry Police Department.
