A unique ribbon cutting and kick off celebration will take place in Perry next week.
The Bike Bike will be dedicated and the Let’s Connect group will celebrate a fundraising milestone on Thursday, November 10th.
Committee member and Chamber Director Bob Wilson says the Perry Let’s Connect group was challenged to raise $100,000 and they’ve done just that.
“We just want to say we’re here to help. We want to make this the best effort we can with fundraising and you know, just any way we can get the word out.”
The event starts at 4:30pm at the Big Bike on the corner of 1st Street and Willis. It will include a few speakers, update on the project and fundraising efforts for the Raccoon River Valley Trail to High Trestle Trail, followed by hors d’oeuvres and beverages at the Hotel Pattee. Everyone is invited to attend.
