As is the usual, this year’s state cross county meet in Fort Dodge was fiercely competitive for both the girls and boys races.
West Central Valley had three individuals representing them at state in the form of Tyler McKibbin and Rylan Heffernan for the boys and Abbey Harris for the girls.
Just as was the case in state qualifying, it was Rylan Heffernan who led the way for the Wildcats finishing in 20th place overall with his time of 17:21. Senior Tyler McKibbin earned a solid 44th place finish ending with a time of 17:46. For the lone Lady Wildcat representative Abbey Harris, she earned a top 60 finish ending with a time of 21:45 which put her in 60th place overall.
