The Jefferson City Council will meet tonight in regular session.
Items to be considered for approval are installing new lighting fixtures at the Russell Park Shelter House, annual tax abatement projects, an engineering contract with MHF Engineering to lay asphalt from Washington Street from Vine to Locust and Locust Street from Washington to Lincolnway for $18,200.
The council will also consider approving a resolution to purchase property from Andrew and Judy Murphy for future expansion of the city water plant on the south side, applying for a Greene County Community Foundation grant to obtain new starting blocks and lane ropes at the Municipal Pool and granting a balance of Neighborhood Stabilization Program income to Habitat for Humanity.
Other items include appointing Mary Pederson to the County Parks and Recreation Board for a three year term and there will be a City Administrator’s evaluation.
The meeting takes place at 5:30pm in the council chambers of City Hall and the public is invited to attend.
