4h_mark2Several awards were given to 4-H’ers at the annual Adair County 4-H Awards night this past Sunday.

The main awards to 4-H’ers were the top honors awards for each of the three levels of the 4-H program. The top senior honors went to Hank Bohling and Riley Lonsdale, both of Greenfield. The top intermediate honors were Paisley Kintigh and Jennifer Holiday, both of Greenfield. The top junior 4-H’ers were Ethan Blomme of Bridgewater, Erin Ford of Fontanelle and Brian Gettler of Fontanelle.

Besides 4-H’ers, adults were also recognized for their contributions to 4-H. This year’s 4-H Alumni awards went to Karen Downing of Creston and Tom and Amy Doud of Stuart for their leadership as excellent role models to 4-H’ers. Another set of awards were given for years of service to the 4-H program. Six individuals received the Gold Clover for ten years of service which included Amy Doud of Stuart and Beth Davenport of Adair. Dan Westphal of Bridgewater was recognized with the Ruby Clover for 30 years of service.

The awards ceremony was held in the Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield.
