Tonight the ADM Lady Tiger basketball team will find themselves back at home for their first conference match up of the season.
It will be one of the stingiest tests for coach Dillinger and his team facing off against last seasons definitive conference leader in the Ballard Lady Bombers. ADM will seek to break the four game win less drought against the Lady Bombers and they will start with utilizing their four year star in Sydney Bertman.
Entering her senior season, Bertman has accumulated 719 points up to this point, averaging 10.1 points per contest and 6 rebounds per game while shooting 47% from the floor. She has led the team in rebounds each of the past three seasons and is currently leading the Lady Tigers with 34 rebounds so far this season. Against the Lady Bombers, Bertman has averaged 8.6 points per game while averaging 3.8 rebounds per game. She has had solid success shooting 44% from the floor through 6 games against Ballard.
Last season against the Lady Bombers, despite two losses the Lady Tigers played solid basketball shooting 56% from the floor while converting over 69% of their free throws.
All of that will be back on display tonight for ADM as they look to take down the reigning conference champs in their conference opener as part of the first girl/boy double header of the season for the Tigers. The girls game will kick things off at 6:00 pm followed by the boys game at 7:30 although you can catch all the action on K107.9FM and online at raccoonvalleyradio.com. Pregame coverage will get the ball rolling at 5:45 followed by girls tip off at 6:00 pm.
