Wednesday, December 7th

A Jefferson Police Officer was dispatched to the Greene County Medical Center ER for the report of a 21 year old male subject from Grand Junction accidentally discharging his handgun and the round striking him in the upper left leg. He reported that he was cleaning his handgun when it accidentally discharged. He was later transported to Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines to remove the bullet.

A deputy was unable to locate an eastbound semi-tractor trailer that had filled with fuel at The Sparky’s One Stop in Jefferson and drove away. Boone County was advised of the drive off.

A deputy assisted with a family dispute in the 400 block of South 9th Street in Grand Junction.

A deputy was dispatched for a minor car-deer accident on Highway 30 east of Jefferson near Orchard Avenue.

Thursday, December 8th

A deputy was advised of an abandoned vehicle parked along the roadway on Highway 30 near J Avenue.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
