Greene Leadership will continue its workshop series on Monday.

This session will focus on communicating and listening.  ISU Extension Economic Development Specialist Steve Adams will be the featured presenter.  Topics that will be covered are identifying internal and external barriers to communication, recognizing nonverbal communication, expressing messages directly and enhancing listening skills.

Greene County Extension Coordinator Michael Cooley says that this session is a crucial part of the leadership workshops.

“Obviously communicating and listening are both very important skills in being a leader; whether a leader of a community group or whether a leader in your place of employment.”

There were 25 participants at the last meeting on January 28th in Jefferson.  Cooley comments that it was nice to see people from a variety of employment backgrounds and ranges of ages.

The workshop will be at the new Scranton Community Center.  The event is from 6-9pm.
