The Perry boys track team made a solid outdoor debut Thursday night at a cold and wet Kaufman Track with a second place showing at the Davis Relays in Perry.  The Bluejays finished with 106 points trailing Invite champion Carroll’s 172 points.  AC-GC placed 3rd with 89 followed by Des Moines Christian, Panorama and Saydel.  Perry had a number of individual highlights on the night.  Returning state qualifier Reece Dunlap took 2nd in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes.  Adan Medina placed 2nd in the 400.  Juma Bushiri won the 800 in an impressive time of 2:12.68.  Perry dominated the relays winning four different events.  The 4×400, 4×800, Sprint Medley and Distance Medley all took home first place honors.  Carroll won the meet because of their dominance in the field events as the Tigers won the discus, shot and high jump while placing 2nd in the long jump and discus.  Perry’s field event highlight was Tyler Soll’s 4th place throw in the discus.  Official complete results are listed below on the link.
