The Guthrie Center City Council meets in regular session today. The council is considering the installation of a stop sign at the intersection of 4th and Park streets for the northbound intersection. They will hold the second of three required readings of the ordinance. The issue initially came up after a homeowner near the intersection raised concerns about children’s safety when crossing the street. The council will also hear from Tom Rutledge regarding the Hometown parking lot, hold a public hearing on a budget amendment and accept bids for work on windows. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Guthrie Center City Hall.
