A coupon book with deals for various businesses in Perry recently went on sale at Hy-Vee, giving people an opportunity to save money while supporting nonprofit organizations.

The books cost $5, with $3 of each sale going toward one of three different organizations. When you purchase one, you get to choose which group will receive your donation. The nonprofit organizations for the summer book include the Perry Area Food Pantry, the Perry Community Garden, or the Perry Humane Society.

Hy-Vee plans to have three or four coupon books every year, with different groups each time. The fall book should appear in late September or October. Any nonprofits wanting to participate are invited to visit Hy-Vee’s customer service. Local businesses wanting to be included in the coupons can sign up there as well.
