With all West Central Activities Conference teams no longer in the hunt for the state crown, the 2017 edition of the all conference selections have been released.

A good way to tell just how deceiving the Panorama Panther softball record was in 2017 is by noticing 4 Lady Panthers earning all conference selections. Two of those selections were honorable mentions while one individual earned a 2nd team selection and topped off with one first team selection for Panorama.

The two honorable mentions for the Lady Panthers include sophomore Kennedy Andersen and junior Maddie Knapp. Andersen played a crucial part in the successes for Panorama by leading the team with 20 RBI’s on the season. Andersen ended her sophomore campaign hitting .344 at the plate while blasting 3 home runs in the process. She also led the team in doubles on the season.

Knapp was also an instrumental piece for coach Ryan Nail chipping in a .315 batting average filled with 14 RBI’s one one home run.

Moving up to Panorama’s second team all selection, the honor is bestowed upon power bat Kellie Prince. The junior phenom ended the 2017 season hitting .377 at the plate while blasting a team best four home runs.

Finally, the Lady Panthers had one first team selection which falls into the well deserving hands of Lydia Knapp. Knapp was a dominating force all season long leading not just the team but the entire conference in batting average ending at .540 and on base percentage at .603. The talented sophomore 34 hits total broken down into 23 singles, 6 doubles, 4 triples and one home run. Knapp was issued 7 walks this season while only striking out 3 times all season.

Again the Panorama Lady Panthers earning all conference selections include honorable mentions Kennedy Andersen and Maddie Knapp, second team selection Kelly Prince, and first team selection Lydia Knapp.
